I think that’s just it, he still holds some power over me. He’s dead, why does he get that power? After all the work I have done to raise these kids and he gets the credit with his name? He was pretty much a sperm donor in my mind. The younger two don’t know who he even is!

But it is expensive and is it what they want? I might just have to sit on it for a while and see where things go. Maybe we could all pick a new last name? Though I do like mine so that would be hard.

I’m sorry you are having such a hard time. I hope it all works out in the future (sooner rather than later). Your daughter is lucky to have someone to fight for her!
